We (UW / Seattle Children's) are trying to secure funding outside of our T32, which currently limits our ability to support IMGs. Does anyone have recommendations for funding sources or partnerships that can help provide support for fellows that may not be eligible for NIH funding?

Would it be helpful in reserving X number of interview spots for URiM to improve recruitment of URiM in Peds ID?
Maria Deza Leon

Something that really stood out to me during my interview journey was the interest that a program had in what would happen after I graduated. As an IMG, I leaned towards programs that showed interest in understanding the process of applying for a waiver job and who seemed really invested in supporting me through that process.

most programs are transparent but they wont rank you before a board eligible person because of that.. could we advocate to ABP that they evaluate those graduates differently?
